Below you can find out more about the models that exist in Brazil and different countries, such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands and Japan:

Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands (NVAO) Only organization legally authorized to perform professional and academic accreditation in the Netherlands and in the Flanders region.

Australian Medical Council (AMC) Independent national standards body evaluating and conducting medical school accreditation in Australia and New Zealand.

General Medical Council (GMC) Website of the accrediting body of medical schools in the UK, which has the authority to increase the frequency of evaluation of schools that do not meet the desired standard, as well as withdraw its approval for operation.

Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) The LCME was instituted in 1942 for evaluation of American medical schools, including later Canadian medical schools. It is maintained by the official evaluation and accreditation bodies of medical schools in the United States and Canada.

National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation (NIAD) Certification organization of the Japanese Universities.

Sistema de Acreditação Regional de Cursos Universitários Regional - ARCU-SUL (Accreditation System for University Courses) The ARCU-SUL is an initiative of the ministries of education, Conaes (National Commission for the Evaluation of Higher Education) and the educational sector of Mercosur, applied by RANA (Network of National Accreditation Agencies), whose general objective is to evaluate permanently the quality of higher education and progress in the regional integration process.
